Will you be tuning into SA Idols tonight? If so, carry on reading for a sneak peek at what you can expect from the top 6’s ‘Showstopper’ theme. The Idols contestants have been practicing hard to bring you their A-games and will be teaming up with one of SA’s best choreographers and a team of dancers to ensure you get not only an aurally spectacular show, but a visually spectacular one too. All of the contestants will be not only singing, but really performing, complete with dramatic props and some of their finest dance moves.

First up is the group song, which will be a cover of Fall Out Boy’s ‘My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark’ complete with a massive display of pyrotechnics, all for your viewing pleasure. Don’t say Idols doesn’t take showstoppers seriously! Special guest Chiano Sky will also be performing her new single ‘Home Sweet Home’.

Sonke will be opening the solo performances with Mafikizolo’s ‘Khona’. His performance promises to be energetic, vibey and definitely one to look out for. Frontrunners, Musa and Brenden, will also be singing local, traditional songs – but we won’t spoil the surprise and tell you which ones! Bunny will be taking on rock chick Pink’s ‘Raise Your Glass’, which is a welcome change from the slow-paced songs we heard last week from all the contestants.  Keep an eye out for Crystalene’s drastic image change this week. The usually demure schoolteacher will be performing Rihanna’s ‘Right Now’ in true Good Girl Gone Bad style. She might be a little too self-conscious for such a huge transformation, but only time will tell. Either way, it should be a real talking point!

Zoe Zana will be turning up the heat with her rendition of Jessie J’s ‘Wild’. We know she loves dancing and putting on a show for the audience, so Zoe’s attitude and love of performing is sure to make this one a real hit with both the crowds and the judges. Zoe is born to perform, and the ‘showstopper’ theme should suit her down to the letter, so keep a very close eye on her tonight and prepare to be entertained.

Be sure to catch Idols on Mnet at 5:30 tonight. You absolutely don’t want to miss this week’s ‘Showstopper’ theme and the chance to see your Idols breaking out their best dance moves to keep up with the pros.
