Sex, death, drama and friendship? We haven't even seen SABC 1's new side dish dilema and we're already hooked.
The plot
Four married women; Sli (Jo Anne Rayneke), Phiwe (Thuso Mbedu), Joyce (Matshepo Princess Maleme) and Amanda (Refilwe Madumo) head out of town for a girl’s weekend away. They arrive expecting to have a relaxed, “man free” weekend until Sli’s side dish arrives...
The women are reluctant to let him (Richard) stay, but his charm and good looks convince them otherwise.
The weekend then turns into a drunken, sensual mess which ends in tragedy when Richard (Bohang Moeko) dies while the women fight over him.
The story then takes a Desperate Housewives-ish turn which sees the girls decide to remove all evidence of the death by burying the body, along with a man who tries to help them along the way due to the fact that they are ashamed of their behaviour and shocked by the death.
The group makes a pact to never speak about it again.
"18 Months later, Phiwe’s guilt is too much for her to handle, she gets severe depression, schizophrenia and threatens to reveal the truth. Her cousin and friends have no choice but to silence her and make it look like she committed suicide. Apollo (Ntando Menzi Ncube), Phiwe’s ex-fiancé vows to uncover the truth," explains SABC in a statement.
After Phiwe’s funeral, the girls are forced to face up to their secrets, which results in the women going on the run with the police giving chase.
