Somizi brings joy to varsity students

When we look back at South African entertainment, we are going to remember it for the controversies, break-ups, cat fights, and Twars. While that is all standard in this industry, sometimes it's important to remember people who have made the news for positive reasons. Somizi is a classic example of someone who has stayed relevant this whole year without needing any publicity stunts or crazy headlines about his love life.

This weekend Somizi took his good guy image to even greater heights as he made his way to NMMU (Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University) in Port Elizabeth to MC their Mr and Miss NMMU pageant.

You adult Joburgers might have thought "agh, it's just another celebrity" but these kids went absolutely crazy for him.

Somizi is one of the busiest guys around (in fact, isn't he flying back to Gauteng for Idols tonight?) but the fact that he makes time to show up to varsity events shows that he cares about extending his influence and reputation to all corners of the country and to fans of all ages.

We need more celebs like Somizi, seriously. Do you think he challenged anyone to a "We Dance Again" dance off
