It's all systems ready for the much anticipated HospiceWits Night With The Stars event, which has had a makeover this year in light of COVID-19 restrictions.

The star-studded event has become a not-to-be-missed event in the Mzansi's social calendar, as it brings all the glitz and glam in the fashion and entertainment industry. And this year, organisers are making sure we don't miss out on any of the glamour as they host an Instagram activation for past and new supporters! 

HospiceWits NWTS 2020 will be held as an Instagram activation on Tuesday, July 28, where celebrities, designers & media personalities are encouraged to post stills or moving media to their Instagram pages and to their other platforms creating “The Lounge Edition”.

To take part make sure to use the official hashtags #HospiceWitsNWTS20 and #LoungeEdition.

Over the past six years, HospicesWits and its partners has hosted an annual fashion extravaganza, welcoming over a hundred of South Africa’s top celebrities, designers, media personalities and other people of influence on their runway;  raising funds for HospiceWits; an organization that takes care of and improves the lives of people who have incurable illnesses, from the point at which their illness is diagnosed as terminal, to the end of their life. 

The CEO HospiceWits Jacqui Kaye said "We are very excited that this year’s annual fashion extravaganza will be meeting in the social media stratosphere, to celebrate this glamorous night with an even larger global audience. Hosted by 

HospiceWits, and proudly presented by Umzingeli Productions and About 

Entertainment. Not only will this be an opportunity for HospiceWits to increase 

awareness, but it also serves as a fundraising initiative at a time when our 

essential services staff urgently require PPE’s."

The current global pandemic is not making it any easier to generate these much-needed funds. As a registered Non-Profit organization, HospiceWits relies on the support of corporates, trusts, foundations, and individuals to enable them to meet

the needs within their communities. 

"As the Director/Producer of HospiceWits Night With The Stars, it was difficult to accept that we would not be able to bring our designers, celebrities & performers together for the 7 the edition of this spectacular event. The lockdown has brought many of my peers in the fashion, eventing, and associated industries to their knees. Due to COVID-19, HospiceWits is in dire need of donations. In light of this, we decided to host HospiceWits Night of the Stars on Instagram as “The Lounge Edition”. Your participation will raise sorely needed funds for HospiceWits as well as shine a spotlight on the creative industries whose livelihoods have been severely affected," said Jan Malan (Umzingeli Productions).

Co-producer Jenny Valsecchi of About Entertainment said, "HospiceWits “Night With The Stars” has become an event that is synonymous with the very best of South Africa’s performing Artists, Celebrities and Fashion Designers.
Despite the trying times that we find ourselves in, About Entertainment and 

Umzengeli Productions have committed, with the rest of the awesome Team, to 

embrace “the new normal’ and stage a virtual show together with as many 

awesome Artists as are able to participate."

Supporters of the annual fashion show will go LIVE between 18h00 – 22h00 on 

the 28th July, posting static and moving content, calling on their fans and 

followers to donate and assist HospicesWits with maximizing the quality of life for

people in the last phases of a disease that cannot be cured. The process will 

allow donators to follow a link and pledge a sum to the organization.
