There is no other event quite like the MetGala and every year we are excited to see what celebrities (besides Rihanna and Beyonce) have the finesse to follow a theme and serve us looks.
This year's theme was Celebrating Camp, drawing in a whole range of looks from Cardi B's overflowing dress to Harry Styles' sheer jumpsuit.
Our beloved export, Trevor Noah is pretty much a regular at these things now and decided to sport a more than the low-key outfit.
But it wasn't without a little bit of cheek from the funny guy.
With a simple white shirt, under a tailored blazer-there laid a message in black lettering. Its words of wisdom? "This is all a formality."
Insert laughing track here folks, because while some of Mzansi could laugh out aloud with the casualty of the outfit. Others were high key unimpressed that he couldn't be bothered to make an effort..which may be the point, right?

Just recently, Trevor Noah was like a little kid excited to meet Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, so much so that he posted a picture alongside him and Oscar-winning actor Rami Malek.
Some might say that he made more of an effort meeting a fellow celeb with a suit and bowtie look than he did at one of Fashion's most hyped events.
But the clothes don't make the man and whether Trevor was a hit with some and a miss with others-Trevor is still one of Mzansi's (and now the worlds) most loved stars.
