There is definitely no limit when it comes to these talented beings. They mastered their craft and left us in awe of their acting talent and now they are impressing us with their behind the scenes skills.
If everyone could put in as much effort into their work as these artists do...this country would be rich with productivity. From Akin Omotoso to Portia Gumede, these actors did not limit their ability to grow in the acting industry by only being in front of the camera, they spread out their wings by going behind the scenes to tell South Africa and Africa as a whole their tell stories.
To us, Akin Omotoso will always be Khaya from Generations. We fell in love with how he did justice to that role and we would honestly love to see more of his acting. The talented actor is also an award winning Director. Akin has directed great movies such as Tell Me Sweet Something, Vaya and more.
Nthabiseng Tau used to play the role of Meiki on the SABC 2 soapie Muvhango and left all of that for directing. The actress is still within the SABC family though, she is a Director on the SABC 3 soapies Isidingo.
She's one of our favorite woman in the acting industry, Mmabatho Montsho should do us all a favor and continue shining like the star she is. Mmabatho hasn't left acting but she is a highly skilled woman, directing is definitely her calling.
She is a director for MTV Shuga.
We hope Abena Ayivor has a number of awards for her acting because every role she plays leaves you with your jaw on the floor, yes that's how good she is. Remember when she used to play the role of Lerato on Generations? Abena is the Head Writer for MTV Shuga.
No words can describe how much we love Portia Gumede, this woman is passionate about telling stories. Portia gave a legendary performance in the TV series Izingane Zobaba with her character of Kholekile, and used her writing and producing talent on TV dramas such as Sokhulu & Partners, Shreds & Dreams, and more mindblowing TV productions.
