It is quickly becoming clear that Canadian born rapper Drake is in love with South Africa. The internationally recognised musician already has a close friendship with our very own Black Coffee. So much so that he would sometimes surprise Black Coffee by showing up at his sets in different countries all over the world.

But now it seems that he is basically obsessed with anyone and anything South African music. This is as he seemed to co-sign yet another South African artist.

Cassper's Siyathandana played by Drake

Siyathandana by Cassper Nyovest, featuring Abidoza and Boohle is arguably the last notable hit single that Cassper released before he started releasing numerous singles which failed to make an impact a week after their release. While South Africans have moved on from the song in light of new music that has since dominated the charts.

It seems that Drake is still in love with the song as he was revealed to have played the song during his recent DJing sets in New York. Of course, Cassper then shared the fact via his social media to prove that despite the naysayers about his releases, his music is known by the likes of Drizzy Drake.
However, Cassper is not the only artist that Drake has co-signed from ZA. Actually, the two other artists he has co-signed he did so by actually reaching out to them in his own various ways. This includes:

Kelvin Momo:

Earlier this month it was reported that:

Recently, one thing that has almost become a guarantee is how the newest amapiano artists are getting international recognition. The newest addition amapiano DJ and producer Kelvin Momo is no exception as he receives his flowers from Canadian rapper, Drake.

One would argue that perhaps DJ Black Coffee has been very instrumental in opening doors of recognition from Mzansi artist to the international artists. However, if the talent transcends the African boarders to the international stages, then all credits are due to those artists.

The newest amapiano producer and DJ Kelvin Momo is beyond ecstatic, this comes after he was a direct message (DM) on Instagram from the international rapper, Drake. In the DM, Drake expresses how much he listens and appreciates Momo's sound.

"Waking up to such. speechless! le re nna ke etsa hanyani   jokes aside Getting a DM from Drake means a lot I don’t even know what to say but am fucken grateful man" wrote Kelvin Momo.

Uncle Waffles:

As reported at the time:

Uncle Waffles must be beaming wherever she is as international superstar Drake jumped on her Instagram live and gave her a huge shoutout. The Swaziland born DJ's meteoric rise caught the attention of Drake after that viral video and it has been an upward trajectory ever since.

Lungelihle Zwane, AKA Uncle Waffles went on Instagram live to give fans a taste of her new music from her EP, Red Dragon which is yet to be released. During her IG live, Drake hopped on and hyped Waffles up.

At first he said her name "Wafffflllllesss." Then Drake said, "Top DJ Top Sound Uncle Waffles" in the comments and then added a waffles emoji.
