A video clip of him performing the song on Mzansi Magic's popular show Homeground, went viral on social media leaving social media users shaking their heads. Most social media users thought the song was 'whack' but, it seems he was not bothered at all by their negative comments.

This comes after today he after he released a music video for the song.

Gabadiya is a 4-minute long song infused with kwaito basslines, uplifting percussions, and ribcage-rattling drums. The music video features DSK & Bhubesi cruising with their crew on a boat in the heart of the Hartbeespoort Dam. Through the catchy lyrics and log drums, they showcase some hot dance moves while having fun.

The duo is gearing up to solidify their mark in the Amapiano sphere. The year 2022 marks 25 years for entertainment Icon Dingaan Khumalo, of which he has spent 19 years portraying the notable character of James Motsamai on SABC 2’s Muvhango. The philanthropist, actor, voiceover artist, MC and now performing artist kicked off his two and a half decade-long career back in the 90s and since then he has featured on multiple television platforms as a lead actor and presenter.

He has solidified himself as a household brand through a multitude of commercials, numerous high-profile awards, launching a music career, and amassing an enviable fan base. Dingaan’s contribution to the industry has helped many families by resolving different issues and disputes through shows such as Mamazala on Moja Love and Speak Out on SABC 2.

His recent move into the music sphere is influenced by his contribution to Strictly Come Dancing, SABC Choristers as well as the musical group- Kganya Ya Lesedi.

The actor is not a stranger to social media backlash. Some time back, he came under fire when he was accused of racism. He got caught up in an incident in Johannesburg, where he had a verbal altercation with a woman. The lady accused Dingaan of calling her a “white b**ch”, while Dingaan claimed that she had started it, not him, and had called him racial slurs.

Luckily, the country was able to move on from the incident and allow Dingaan to be more than just one scandal. But it looks like “clowning” in Amapiano may be one they won’t forgive soon.
