The Togetherness Celebrations Tour is back! After a one year break the festival, meant to bring Batswana together, has returned and is bigger than before.
The festival will kick-off its 2018 run at the Molapo Crossing, Stanbic Piazza on the 3rd of March. The line-up? All Botswana artists accompanied by South Africa's hottest duo, Distruction Boyz.
Besides the line-up, another thing that people can look forward to is the development in terms of production standard. The producer for the celebrations stated that there are things that will be showcased that have never been done before in terms of stage, sound and lighting production.
The tour has always been about celebrating Bostwana acts and has managed to keep this going by limiting the number of international acts who play to just one artist or group.
The artists who will be repping Botswana are Botswana’s drums and sticks crew, Team Distant, Shaft People, Chrispin The Drummer, the ever-energetic BanT, award winners, ATI and Veezo.
DJ Root will be present as well without forgetting progressive house maestro, Benny T and DJ Spax Vybz who has played alongside heavyweights such as Louis Vega in New York.
The captains of the show will be talented Flava Dome’s Sadie alongside versatile and RB2 morning radio co-host, T.H.A.B.O. In the spirit of Togetherness, A1 G.O.D from Francistown and the one and only DJ Big Pun from Maun will grace the stage also.
So, what are you waiting for? Tickets for the festival are already selling at Liquorama Bottle Stores in Gaborone and all Spar and Web ticket outlets at the cost of 200 for double tickets and 150 for single tickets. Golden circle tickets are going for 200 pula and VIP for 250 pula.
