Our first introduction to DJ Buckz was when he contributed his talents to the 2015 December smash-hit, Y tjukutja alongside his partner in crime DJ Maporisa. Fast-forward to 2017 and DJ Buckz is still as talented as ever.
In a former interview, award-winning R&B singer and writer, R-Kelly was once asked what he would do if he found himself broke and homeless. His response was simple, R&B's Pied Piper simply said that he would write another hit song to make money again.
Which we think should also apply to this local performer, songwriter and not forgetting hit magnet (as he would refer to himself)
Now we've been well-accustomed to his Afro-pop style and features on songs like Sound by Davido, Soweto with Maphorisa and Wizkid but we have found a new found respect for DJ Buckz when he spit a verse on Kwesta's latest single Mayibabo featuring MalumeKoolKat too.
For an artist who usually does pop and house music, DJ Buckz definitely held his own in that track.
When he rapped we were like.....
Even the comments on the YouTube video were quite impressed too.
It makes sense why he stays getting these features and awards.
Now we're just waiting for Buckz to hit us with that trap soul collaboration with Tellaman.
And we hear that Buckz is a hit with the ladies, we understand why, with those moves, that talent and a good sense of style, who wouldn't.
