DJ Warras is also leaving Live Amp

Former Live Amp presenters Pearl Thusi & Loot Love will be returning to the show to handle things as they help the channel bid DJ Warras (real name Warrick Stock) farewell after 6 years on a show he joined back in 2012.

This comes shortly after his former co-host, Lerato Kganyago also left the show for greener pastures over at M-Net.

“In my time at Live Amp I have been fortunate to have worked with legends in the TV game at Urban Brew, Marv, Sjula, Chester, Akhumzi, Bev, Nhlanhla, and the team. I have worked alongside the biggest talent in the country, LootLove, Pearl Thusi, Lerato Kganyago, and all the artists we've broken records with over the years on the biggest music show in SA history on Mzansi's biggest Channel, for 6 years. It’s the longest time for any one before me and I’m honoured, grateful, blessed and I would like to thank all of the above for making me an Icon of the SA entertainment industry," said DJ Warras in a statement.

His former bosses seem to have nothing but good things to say about him.

“It has been an absolute pleasure working with one of SA television’s most talented male hosts. Warras as the longest standing presenter of Live Amp, has stood the test of time and we shall forever be grateful for his passion and dedication to the programme. He leaves behind big shoes to fill which will prove great task for his predecessor,” said Live Amp Producer, Nhlanhla Mthimkhulu in a statement.
