Taking to his Instagram account David Tlale said he dedicates the doctorate to his late mother "I am humbled to be Conferred by @tut_official2 with the Honorary Doctorate in Arts and Design. Much appreciation and love. I dedicate This Doctorate Degree to my Mom Joyce’ my family, friends the media and my beautiful country South Africa.. to my team thank you… God Your Grace is Sufficient for me."
Another one of our favourite ZAlebs who recently bagged her doctorate is Unathi. The TV host introduced herself to the masses as Dr Nkayi.

She penned a lengthy post celebrating her achievement and explained why her grandfather named her Fundiswa “My paternal grandfather named me Fundiswa, a name I grew up hating NOT understanding the generational curses he was breaking at THAT moment.”

“As the only grandchild he named  something I brag about to all my cousins and sisters‍️‍️‍️ I now understand what he was doing for our family. His son and his wife, my parents left SA for 11 years and raised us out of the country for THAT specific reason.”

Unathi continued “Becuase my grandparents wanted ALL of us to be educated at a time when apartheid wouldn’t allow it for us black people. My parents only saw their parents twice in this time becuase of THIS sacrifice.”
