Earlier this week, SABC 1’s Generations: The Legacy made headlines when the soapie confirmed its next move in order to draw a bigger audience. This is as the soapie has held on to the title of the second most-watched soapie in the country. However, e.TV’s Scandal! Has been hot on the heels of the soapie for that record.

According to the South African Broadcasting Commission (SABC), the couple will be reprising their roles but it is for a short stint.

You can expect to see them make a return in April, "Generations: The Legacy is proud to welcome two beloved guest performers in the month of April. Viewers will no doubt be delighted by the appearance of Karabo Moroka (played by Connie Ferguson) and Tau Mogale (Rapulana Seiphemo) who will grace our screens once more in their historic roles," the statement reads.

As a debate on whether this was a good move for the soapie or not. Images of their first scene since returning to the soapie have started to surface on social media.

First look at Karabo and Tau's return on Generations

Recently, a social media user took to Twitter and shared the first images of Connie and Rapulana reprising their beloved roles as Karabo and Tau. The images confirmed that the two would make their return during an upcoming Moroka funeral taking place.
As a result, it seems that fans were wondering which of the Moroka clan would be dying in order to have Karabo and Tau return.
While there has been confusion, it seems that the funeral procession is for none other than current lead character Mazwi Moroka, who is played the actor Musa Ngema. Ngema has been confirmed to make an imminent exit from the soapie since joining the soapie when it was rebranded as Generations: The Legacy.
As reported

Upon Karabo Moroka and Tau Mogale reprising their roles, Mazwi Moroka will subsequently bid farewell to the show. According to IntaRez News, both Moroka and Magale will come in to pay their last respect to Mazwi Moroka, who will be killed during the ransom negotiations for his kidnapped cousin, Paul Moroka Jr.

"The TVSA April teasers suggest that Mazwi Moroka will meet his demise in the upcoming episodes. It is reported that his character will be killed off after dropping off ransom money for his kidnapped cousin Paul Moroka Jr., played by Rebaone Kgosimore. Mazwi’s death will bring together some of the show’s most iconic characters, including his aunt Karabo Moroka and her husband Tau Mogale. The teasers suggest that the couple will be present at the funeral to pay their respects," reports IntaRez News.
