This past Saturday saw the return of what possibly could be the best food festival to grace the country. Yes, the  DSTV Delicious International Food & Music Festival is back and better than ever. Held at Emmarentia Dam this year, Delicious Fest brought its famous fusion of delectable eateries and music together under a beautiful Jozi sky.

This year’s international headliners were the acclaimed  funk and acid jazz band The Brand New Heavies, the ever soulful Incognito and the legendary Soul II Soul who all gave a spirited performance to a great audience that lapped up every note.

Other performers include South Africa’s very own Jeremy Loops as the opening act, followed by the incomporable Zahara. Festival goers were also treated to a separate, albeit smaller stage or dance tent that had the likes of  crowd favourites Euphonik, DJ Kent and Lulo Café on the ones and twos.

This year’s festival saw a greater number of people coming out to enjoy all the mouth-watering  goodies on display from the make shift restaurants and food vendors, leading to some unbearably long queues.  This did not stop revelers from utterly  immersing themselves in the incredible atmosphere that Delicious Fest continues to create each time.

As you may well be aware of ZAlebs is always on the prowl to see which of our South African celebrities were also in attendance at this years festivities and well, lets just say almost EVERY who's who in the Jozi zoo was there.  It was a celebrity overload type of situation if you know what we mean.  We spotted Queen B* (Bonang) trying to be as discreet as possible, but our celebrity watchfull eyes were too sharp not to notice.

This year's festival was a definitely more of a success than last year's one, with more people and even more delicacies for us to indulge in.
