Congratulations are in order for actress Gail Mabalane. She recently announced that she has ventured into the hair care business.
Taking to her social media platforms, The Wild star revealed that after
more than 2 years of research and development, she is officially a hair care line owner.

"I’m so proud to finally introduce my hair care line @ethnogenics … exclusive to @clicks_sa 😆🙌🏾 Following my own hair loss, I embarked on this incredible journey to formulate a product that not only speaks to the need I had but the need recognized through tons of women reaching out to me," she wrote on Instagram.

She added, "Come along with me as, through @ethnogenics, we transform the natural hair care industry with knowledge, empowerment, and honesty, coupled with quality hair care products. Welcome to the awakening!!!"

Fans and other celebrities including Salamina Mosese, Ama Qamata, Zenande Mfenyane have since taken to the comments section to congratulate Gail on her new business venture.
Gail previously opened up about her alopecia diagnosis. She shared that she released that she had a problem after her salon visit. She wrote, "So...Why did I cut my hair? ?? A few months ago I went to the salon for a routine hair wash. To my shock, after my wash, a big chunk of my hair was GONE!!! ?? After a few weeks of “self medicating”, I decided to consult a dermatologist. CCCA - Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia was the diagnosis. Simply put ... a very common cause of Alopecia or hair loss in black women. I’m happy to say that the treatment is definitely working and my hair is growing thank goodness...I’ll survive winter. ????"

The actress said she decided to open up about her hair journey because she wanted to empower other women who may be going through the same thing. "So why am I sharing this? Apart from the fact that wearing a wig can get tiring ?? ... I wanted to use this opportunity to say to women: if you have any form of hair loss (hairline included), please consult a professional. Had I not gotten the necessary treatment, this could have resulted in permanent hair loss. Sometimes, it’s not hair activator that’s needed...but treatment. ?? #OwnYourNarrative #AuthenticConnections"

Gail also opened up to Azania Mosaka during her interview with the radio presenter on 702. She said opening up makes things easier to deal with. "When this first happened to me, I knew it was something I needed to share. A sense of community always makes it easier to cope with what you’re going through... and to be able to say to women you are not alone and seek professional help,” she said.
