Thathi
The role of Thathi is played by one of Mzansi’s well acclaimed actresses, Katlego Danke who is quite the veteran in the entertainment industry.
She started her career back in 2002 and has been a hit ever since and we love to see it. Her personal life is also pretty interesting as she continues to set our timelines on fire with her beauty and her charming personality.
Not too long ago, she was making headlines after she took to her Twitter to post a thirst trapping photo that literally had tweeps and fans alike drooling.

Melusi
Next up on the list we have Melusi who is played by Zolisa Xavula. Time and time again, viewers have not shied away from giving Melusi his flowers for his great acting skills that we have all come to witness on our screens.
He is also quite the social butterfly in real life and uses his social media to let his fans in on his day to day life. It was during one of his TikTok videos that he revealed about how he grew up as a child and fans were beyond shocked with his revelation.

Mam’Sonto
This list would definitely not be complete without Connie Chiume’s character, as she has become one of the most favorite actresses on Gomora.
She plays the role of Thathi’s mom who has since proven that she would do absolutely anything to make sure that her daughters have food on the table. We love her for her true and authentic talent and it is always fun to see that trouble she gets herself into almost every time.
Not too long ago she made headlines after it was rumored that she had flown to the States in preparation for her new acting gig on the upcoming Black Panther 2. And while it is still not clear whether or not it was true, fans were happy and celebrated with the legendary actress.

Gladys
And now to the queen of the screen, we have Glady’s who is played by the ever lovely Thembi Seete. This veteran actress has time and time again proven that she is exactly who she thinks she is and we love to see it.
Many of her fans want to be the bold and smart woman that Glady’s represents. She is hardworking and is not afraid to break the rules for the benefit of those she loves. We can only imagine that this trait is portrayed in an even bigger way when it comes to her real life.
She recently landed a major role at the Idols SA judge panel and fans couldn’t be more thrilled for her. She took to her social media to equally express her excitement saying that the opportunity was a dream come true for her.
Ntokozo
Next up we have Ntokozo who is played by one Ntobeko Sishi. Famously known by his fans as Ntokozo Dlamini, we have to agree that he is quite the internet sensation and we cannot get over how great of a personality he is.
Other than being an actor, you will be surprised that he is also a singer too! You read that right. He released his hit single IDC – short for I Don’t Care – in 2020, which was created by ELIZEE, a well-known producer.

Buhle
This list would not be complete without Buhle who is played by one of Mzansi’s rising stars, Ama Qamata.
In the telenovela, she plays the role of a lovely young lady who resembles her mother. She is immensely popular at school, unlike her brother, and is known as the “queen of the in-crowd.”
And while she had left Gomora some time back, word on the street is that she might be coming back pretty soon. It is always such a pleasure to watch Ama’s dope acting skills and there is no denying that she is set to be one of the best actresses Mzansi has ever seen.

Langa
Next up we have the ever charming Langa who is played by one Siyabonga Xaba. With a successful father and a gorgeous mother, Langa grew up in Sandton in luxury. He’s serious, intelligent, and even sincere.
The death of his father forces him and his mother to return to Alexandra where he struggles to fit in such a tough town having grown up in luxury. It is unfortunate that he actually dies in the telenovela, but we have to give him his flowers for his great acting skills.
Mazet
Here is yet another actress that has won the hearts of many for her excellent talent on the screens and we love to see it. Mazet is played by the ever beautiful Siphesihle Ndaba.
The 23-year-old, who was born and raised in Soweto, Johannesburg, is much more than her television persona. She’s a Rhodes University graduate, a voracious reader, and an aspiring director, among other things and we can only wait to see where her career will lead her.

Teddy
Gomora’s sweetheart, Teddy, is played by Sicelo Buthelezi. Just the other day he was making headlines after a tweep suggested that he was turning 40, only for fans to come to his defense.
Many people were perplexed since, based on his appearance, he appears to be a teenager. His role only adds to the confusion especially because in the telenovela, he portrays a teen boy who is still in high school.
Teddy will be 19 this year, according to the soapie, and Sicelo will be 37. Viewers are still shocked by the actor’s youthful appearance and the fact that he could pass for a teenager in real life.
Pretty
Last but not least we have Pretty who is played by Siyasanga Papu. Pretty is the younger sister of Thathi. She has spent her entire life in the shadow of her older sister.
She was the plain girl who wasn’t particularly brilliant but always put in a good effort. She is a devoted friend and a good worker, but she will never succeed in life due to her bitterness.
We love to see her on our screens and even follow her in real life to see how she handles her relationships as well as her career.
