Micayla! Micayla! Micayla! Homegirl did the things last night! YASS!

Last night's episode of Idols season 15 was generally a spiritual one.
However it was the 18 year old Micayla Oelofse that got people emotional in these streets.

Accomplished musician, Andra Day would be so proud to hear Micayla's version of his song, 'Rise Up', alongside the renowned Tshwane Gospel Choir. There is no denying that Micayla has been consistent from the onset - some are even predicting that she most likely to clinch the winning title of this year's competition.

However it was last night's performance that shook the worlds of the audience.

Her performance was a tribute to her mom who had just died, therefore that pain propelled her to use her last gear.

Although the spotlight was heavily on Micayla, viewers couldn't ignore the remaining talent on the show.

23 year old Mmangaliso Gumbi's performance was also one for the books. Her husky voice was a worrying point for the judges; but she has proven that, she's not one to easily break.

Mmangaliso's rendition of Benjamin Dube's, 'Ngangingazi' was out of this world. If the love that she's been getting on social media is anything to go by, we are confident that the petite singer will shoot up the ranks in the competition.

Nolo Seodisha is another fan favourite. It's evident that he has heeded the judges advice, and has erased the judges' worry about his hunger for this rare opportunity.

The 26 year old has proven, time and again that being slotted in the top 17 was not a bad move by the judges.

What did y'all think of Micayla's performance last night?
