Award-winning singer Kelly Khumalo will be appearing on Idols SA as a guest judge tonight, Sunday on Mzansi Magic channel 161.
Sharing the news on her social media platforms, Kelly urged her fans to watch the show.

"HerVocalHighness will be gracing the @idolssa judging panel tomorrow, do tune in," she wrote on Instagram. Fans have since taken to the comments section to express their excitement.

Mzansi Magic is also looking forward to having Kelly on the show. "It’s official – Kelly Khumalo will be joining Unathi and Randall for this Sunday’s judging duties. Kelly is no stranger to DStv viewers – Showmax’s award-winning Life with Kelly Khumalo has provided viewers with a glimpse into her private life.

“Private” is perhaps a relative term, here – Kelly has been a household name since she was 21, has won the SAMA for Best Female Artist, and has sold millions of albums over the course of her career," the channel shared on the website.
Idols SA viewers have been looking forward to the day Kelly graces the Idols SA judging panel. They have been calling for her to replace the former judge Somizi Mhlongo.

Somizi stepped down in August this year. Announcing his departure M-Net released a statement that read, “M-Net and Mr. Somizi Mhlongo met to discuss his role on Idols SA in light of the allegations made against him. We have reached a mutual agreement that Mr. Mhlongo will take some time off to deal with his personal circumstances until this matter has been resolved. Viewers will still see Mr. Mhlongo on their screens until August 22 2021 as the audition shows for Idols SA were pre-recorded.”

Somizi's estranged husband Mohale Motaung revealed that he suffered abuse in his relationship with Somizi. Read More: Mzansi Shocked By Allegations Made Against Somizi.

Somizi denied the allegations. He admitted that their relationship had issues but he never laid hands on Mohale: "Our relationship has its ups and downs but I have NEVER been physically or knowingly emotionally abusive towards my estranged husband. I vehemently deny the allegations of criminal acts towards him and would like to clear my name of that defamation.

"What I am going to state however is that we had one altercation in which I had to defend myself and both of us were physically hurt by the other. I am at this stage not at liberty to dive deeper into the details but can state that he is not a victim in this situation."
