Let's be real, when it comes to the society, being single is as good as being disabled, many find it to be an achievement and shun down on those that are not in a relationship, but for a musician like Kelly Khumalo, she is not even close to being fazed by it.
After spending three years as a single mom of two, the singer - whose past relationships with musician Molemo 'Jub Jub' Maarohanye and the late Senzo Meyiwa have made headlines on various occasions - shared in a recent interview with Bona magazine, Kelly Khumalo explained that she is in no rush to get a partner as she now understands her worth.
“People don’t understand that when you grow older, your priorities change, and when you understand who you are, you become selective of the people you allow into your life.”
Kelly went on to add that she is now selective of the people she allows in her life and wants to to be with people that understand her worth, even for her future husband.
“I know who I am as well as my worth. And because of this, I have become selective of what I associate myself with, and that goes for the person I want to share the rest of my life with, as well,” she said.
And as happy as she is, the musician has a lot to be excited about as she is set to take on more opportunities in 2018, both in music and in film as she stars in a local movie called The Zulu Wedding.
"I'm excited and humbled to be starring alongside reputable South African actors such as Sthandiwe Kgoroge, Treasure Tshabalala and Jerry Phele" she said
Amongst many things, Kelly Khumalo's 2018 has already started on a great note, apart from losing her close friend and musician Robbie Malinga.
