South African actress, Kgomotso Christopher has taken a comedic approach to deny ever being offered a role on the show. The actress first shared a fake report which claimed that she had failed to honour her contract, due to Ferguson Films denying to adhere to a clause she had stipulated. The far-fetched article went as far as to allocate Kgomotso with a character and storyline, and detailed that the supposed clause stipulated that the production company protect her from unfair treatment imposed on her ex.

A fan reached out to the actress regarding the claim, tweeting, “Did this happen? Was looking forward to seeing you on our screen again, hope it's fake news”. To which she responded with, “Fake news” and a laughing face. She went on to further elaborate in response to another fan, stating, “I didn't shoot. I didn't have a contract and my apparent bosses Connie and Shona who fired me don't even know they even hired me in the first place. Kumnandi e Sattafrika”.

Kgomotso is slated to star in M-Net’s original production, Legacy, which will premiere in September 2020.
