While we are all waiting for the family to release a statement and possibly announce the cause of death, we feel obliged to share how Kuli said she wanted to be remembered when she leaves this earth.
Be warned though, you might want to grab tissues, because the woman was so dedicated to having other people live comfortable lives, that she said she does not want to remembered for anything.
In her interview on Podcast And Chill With MacG, Kuli Roberts was asked how she wants to be remembered when she passes away. Kuli gave a very touching response where she asks her fans to not remember her for anything, but they should all just be good to one another.
"I don't want to be remembered. I want you guys to just look after each other. I want you to look out for the people that are downtrodden and are still downtrodden on. I need you to look after people with albinism, I want you to look after the people in the LGBTQI community, I need you to look after black people, I need you to stop insulting black people and saying 'black people can't swim', because remember we were the ones saving the sailors when we were settling on this continent. So I need you to please uplift black people. Love yourself, and Ubuntu.
"This whole thing of showing off money and materialism and standing on Cassper while others are poor, nobody is impressed. You might think they are, but they are not. Ubuntu is the most important."
Kuli was not all talk and no action, as she lived up to what she believed in, which was standing up for people who were downtrodden. More especially her activism for the Albinism community.
Even her Twitter name is 'STOP ALBINISM KILLINGS' and she has always been vocal about it.
In an age of social media trends, one would think she would start a hashtag or a movement, but she told MacG that her activism is not for trends, but she is actively involved in seeing justice and equality for the community.
In the interview, Mac G asked her why has she not created a hashtag dedicated to albinism awareness, but Kuli reiterated that she has made it a lifestyle for her to advocate for albinism and does not want it to just be a trend.
"I don't put a hashtag, it's a way of life," she then adds that she does not wait until albinism awareness month, to start advocating. She believes if she does this every Thursday then it will gain momentum, just like how every Thursday she dedicated it so 'happy lesbian Thursday."
She also advocated for sexuality and wanted people to stop being oppressive to gays and lesbians.
"The reason I say that is so that the black man who is a homophobe can know that there women who like other women. Because as black people, we like to use tradition and culture and all sorts of excuses for weirdness.
"We need to be exposed to things and you may not agree but you need to know that these things exist. And my reason for supporting people with albinism is because I want Africans to stop killing them. And I want African languages to change what they call people with albinism. Because every single name in every single African language for person with albinism is derogatory."
MacG even wished her a goodnight sleep when he heard of her passing.
