The Zuma YiStar hitmaker took to Instagram and shared to other up and coming musicians how they should carry themselves if they want to succeed in the industry.
"Dear up and coming artists!!! Please do me a favour, when you want to make it in the industry, be informed, take this job as a nine to 5 don’t be under pressure to look a certain way, dress a certain way. It’s ok to just look clean and simple, it’s ok not to own luxury items, till you can afford them and still have a banging bank balance. I advise you as someone that’s been hustling in entertainment since I was 10 years old!!!"
She then added that it is advisable to invest in other business ventures aside from the industry, to grow a person's wealth.
"Start with things that will make you wealthy aside from the industry, when you know you can sit at home doing nothing and still get paid then you can go ahead and do what you want."
She then said people should be cautious about how they view other people's lives on social media. Saying that people should guard what they post on social media
"I’m not telling you how to spend your money I’m asking that you not look at the lives lived on socials and think life is easy!!!!! Pressure is a silent killer. Share 20% of your life on socials and live 80% of it. You’ll never see a perfect hustle on my time line I do everything myself with the help of my team! Every single thing you see is genuine no edits!!! Real is way more affordable."
Lady Du prides herself in being a hard worker. This weekend alone she said she had 12 gigs in total and managed to complete her gigs with the same amount of energy.

Not only is she a hardworking musician, she wants fans to know that she is not just a musician but she is also a businesswoman. "I want you to know something about me, I’m not a musician I’m a business woman that understands what she wants, I don’t move fast, I move when it’s needed. Like chess the queen waits to make the right move she doesn’t move the same direction as everyone!!!"
