Lady Zamar is set to make a triumphant comeback after undergoing a throat surgery last year. Her career took a hard hit following allegations of rape she made against her ex-boyfriend Sjava back in 2017
The incident allegedly happened at a hotel in Thohoyondou, Limpopo, in 2017 after a concert, and Zamar subsequently filed a case for rape against the muso. Sjava denied the allegations and the case was thrown out of court by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA). This is because they believed the facts or evidence did not support a successful prosecution.
Social media users labeled her a liar and she was canceled. It was sad for many to see her career perishing because she used to top charts, drop hits, and tour countries, but following calls for her to be canceled, things went downhill.
Taking to her Twitter account, she has teased new music and we are here for it. It's unclear whether she will soon drop an album or single but by the look of things. It appears she is ready to make a comeback and bless us with good music.
City Press recently reported that the star was busy cooking up a storm in the studio. ! It is reported that the star had gone MIA due to health concerns. It was reported that she had undergone throat surgery, which prevented her from being in the studio very often.
The apparent surgery took place in 2021 but Lady Zamar has fully recovered. It is no secret that the singer has been through the most but everything did not deter Zamar from always being positive. She often tweets about positivity and shares her thoughts on life, love and careers.
Trolls hated her even more after Sjava's interview on Mzansi Insider, where he spoke to Rorisang Thandekiso, about his healing journey after the rape allegations scandal.
"Career wise everything is going well, however mentally I am not coping. Even when I am in public spaces there is still that uncomfortable feeling I get from people, so I am still trying to heal from that.
"My music can be on the charts and it can do well but that does not mean I have healed. I am still trying to fix my spirits to be where it was before. What happened to me was not easy thing to go through. I do not wish it on anyone."
