He said that he had not been feeling well. Therefore, he decided to take a break in order to focus on his mental health. “One thing about me, I am not shy about expressing how I feel. I have checked in myself into a Mental Health Wellness Facility. I haven't been okay for the past months. I have been so depressed. I have decided to fight this by taking a break and dealing with this 1 on 1," captioned the post.

Fans wished him a speedy recovery and praised his brave decision to destigmatize mental health problems. In a surprising turn of events, Sweerie was seen partying up a storm in Sun City. Lasizwe was seen dancing to Zakes Bantwini's hit song Osama in the video. This raised eyebrows as many thought the video of him checking himself into the mental health facility was a publicity stunt.

Many fans believed it is insensitive that he pretended to check into a mental health facility, then goes on to live his best life. "What Lasizwe did about that mental health thing is the biggest insult to people who actually have mental health problems. He's busy Dancing to OSAMA in Sun City as we speak." tweeted one fan

But Lasizwe has come out to set the record straight. He said they had agreed with his team that the video would be posted across his social media accounts after he had been released from the facility.

"I had a choice to either involve my fans in my mental heath journey or be quiet about it. I chose to even you as a form of awareness. This is because it is mandatory for you to take care of yourself and know where to stop and take a break.

He then apologized for not updating his fans that he was out of the facility at the time the video was shared.

"I instructed my team to post the video at the end of my journey which I believe from my side and their side we failed to also reiterate that this is towards the end of my journey so everyone was under the impression that I am still in the facility and I failed to update you that I am out doing well.

He said he is in good spirits and thanked everyone for their concerns. "I am good, and I back working and the show has to go on under my psychiatrist supervision, they believe that I am fit to go into the big world and to do what I love the most," he said.
