As such, the two-part reunion special of the season was one that was hotly anticipated ahead of its airing. However, when newly introduced host of The Real Housewives of Gqeberha Mthokozisi “MaBlerh” Cele was announced as the host of RHODurban’s season three reunion, the news was met with mixed emotions.
Primarily, Mablerh was a fairly unknown host, hence the hesitation. However, it seems that MaBlerh has more than proven himself as deserving of being the resident host of local Housewives of… host following his performance during season three’s reunion.
Mablerh gets his flowers following RHODurban’s reunion special
After the first part of season three’s reunion special of The Real Housewives of Durban, there were mixed reviews on Mablerh as it was considered that he played favourites throughout the episode. A matter the host addressed via Twitter as reported:
…It was believed that he did not interrogate Sorisha Naidoo over her “mean girl” antics throughout the season. More specifically, in terms of how she was willing to listen to Sane speak about Annie, and not take her to task.
However, when addressing the matter, it seems that MaBlerh was confirming that these questions will be addressed during part two of the reunion which is set to air on Wednesday, 17 May 2023.
Seemingly holding true to his word, as the second part of the season three reunion special, Mablerh has finally gotten his flowers as the ideal host for the reunion special. This is as the second part affirmed that MaBlerh did not play favourites.
Instead, he addressed every unanswered question from the latest season. Whether it was taking Sorisha to task, confronting the change in the dynamics between former close friend Slee and Nonku Williams, or the matter of Jojo’s alleged “Karen” behaviour. MaBlerh seemed to make sure that he hit every beat that left viewers asking, “What happened and what is the way forward?”
As such, it seems that MaBlerh also appreciated getting his flowers from social media following the conclusion of season three’s reunion special. This is as he took to Twitter to share his parting as by making it clear that he has done what he could, and the rest is outside of his hands.
