They totally messed up this Xhosa interpretation

Talk about lost in translation. The Springboks clearly don't know their players, let alone even try to understand the meaning of their names. In a now-deleted Tweet, they totally misinterpreted Mapimpi's name, a World Cup-winning player and even took hours to delete their Tweet.

The Boks clearly didn't even try using Google translate or most importantly, asking their star player what his name actually means before Tweeting such an embarrassing translation of his name.

His name "Makazole" means the opposite of their translation, it means...to be calm and collected, in isiXhosa.

The least you can do for this down to earth flyer is to say his name right for winning us the World Cup, no wonder so many Tweeps were shocked and angry at the blatantly ignorant Tweet.

What is your name and has it ever been misinterpreted?
