If there is one thing that we pride ourselves in here in Mzansi is the fact that we have great artists who are always dropping some of the dopest beats and hits the continent has ever seen. Most of them keep releasing hit after hit while others have just started leaving their mark in the industry.

It is because of that that we have decided to put together a list of some of the musicians dominating the music industry right now in Mzansi and why we love them so much. Read and find out whether your favorite artist will make it on the list.

AKA

To start us off is Supa Mega who time and time again has not disappointed where his music is concerned. Not too long ago, the rapper released his most recent EP that sent Mzansi on a listening rampage. The EP, which was in collaboration with Costa Titch was titled “You’re Welcome” and let’s just say that it was indeed welcomed with arms open wide.

But just like every other celebrity AKA has time and time again faced a lot of backlash for his music with many saying that he doesn’t drop them like he used to but that has not stopped him from leaving his mark in the industry and we most definitely love to see it.

Cassper Nyovest

Oh come on, did you really think Cass was going to miss on this list? The King himself has always managed to keep us entertained with some of the greatest hits the industry has ever seen. The Siyathandana hitmaker continues to drop album after album and there is no denying that he chose the right career.

Just the other day he took to his Twitter to announce that he will soon be dropping a Hip Hop album and you can already imagine how beyond themselves fans were with this news. Fans are already excited because they know if it’s Cassper, then it is without a doubt going to be a hit.

Makhadzi

Next up on the list is Makhadzi who time and time again has set our timelines on fire with her hot beats. Also, is there really a time when the Ghanama hitmaker has not released any hit song?

Not too long ago she was crowned the best entertainer of the year at the 2021 GQ Men Of The Year Awards and fans agree that no one could be more deserving if not Africa's Beyonce herself.

That’s not all, every performance video Makhadzi has shared on social media just shows what a force she is. Her fans recently almost caused a stampede in Botswana when she was late to the stage, and she shared an emotional video where she made up lyrics on the spot and had the whole crowd go along with it in a heartbeat. How many performers do you know that can do that?

Black Coffee

Has there ever been a time or a moment when Black Coffee has disappointed us here in Mzansi? Not only is he domintaing the local music industry but he is also making it big in the global space as well. Just the other day, fans were happy to learn that Black Coffee was set to perform at Coachella and that can only prove how big of a deal he is.

And can we also talk about how much he charges just to have him show up at a gig? If that doesn't scream big shot then I don’t know what does. Black Coffee remains to be a household name and there is no saying what more he will accomplish in the years to come.

Maphorisa and Kabza De Small

This is one bromance that has continued to inspire many young and upcoming artists in Mzansi. The Scorpion brothers as they are affectionately known, continue to set the bar way too high where their music is concerned.

Both Phori and Kabza have earned major awards throughout their time in the industry and there is no denying that when these two masterminds come together, magic happens and we love to see it.

The two recently took to social media to share their rags to riches story and fans were even more impressed with their hard work and dedication to the industry. Well done you two!

These are just a few of the celebrities who are making it big right now and we cannot wait to see what they have prepared for us this year. So did your favourite artist make it on the list?
