There is no doubt that Makhadzi is all the way up and nothing can stop her. This year, she has proven that she is exactly who she thinks she is, so now let’s take a walk down memory lane and remember the times Makhadzi owned 2021.

Best Entertainer of the Year - GQ Men of the Year 2021 Award

The singer was crowned best entertainer of the year in November 2021, and it was magnificent to watch. For anybody who has had the privilege of watching Makhadzi perform, this award did not come as a surprise.

She is a ball of energy, and we can’t wrap our minds around how she bounces from one engagement to the next. Seriously, our knees would need at least a week to recover from one gig!

Artist of the Year, Continental Category - AFRIMA Awards

This award proved to the young talent that she is not just an icon in Mzansi, but across the continent as well. She beat out other African legends: Nigeria’s Burna Boy, Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, and Congo’s Fally Ipupa, which makes the win that much more impressive.

The big win got her acknowledged as the reincarnation of Brenda Fassie, which angered many fans of the late singer. Even with all the undeserved hate flying around, Makhadzi remained humble, assured that her talent cannot be taken from her, and she would continue to win regardless.

Makhadzi The Beauty Queen

This year Makhadzi shocked Mzansi when she graced the cover of Classique, a UK legendary magazine. She was only the second South African woman to be on that cover, after Kelly Khumalo.

The moment was a dream come true for Makhadzi, who is often trolled for her looks. But she has made it clear that she knows she is beautiful, and that she is that girl, regardless of what her haters say. Go queen!

Makhadzi The Multimillionaire

The performer recently launched her shoe line, Kokovha, in collaboration with Sportswear SA. The internet was shook when she revealed that the deal was worth R120 million, setting Makhadzi well on her way to be the next Mzansi billionaire.

The Formidable Khadzinators

Makhadzi’s fan base is probably one of the most loyal, and she deserves it. She is probably one of the most cyber bullied celebrities in the country, even though all she does is mind her business and make good music.

But her fans do not take the slander lying down, as they always stand up for her every time she is bullied. The Khadzinators, as they are called, will come out swinging at anybody who dares to utter a mean word about her, reminding them that she makes way more than they do anyway.
It is no wonder the singer takes every opportunity she gets to thank her fans. She dedicates all her awards to the Khadzinators, knowing that she would not be able to achieve half of what she has done without them, which fuels their love for her even more.

Legendary Performances

Every performance video Makhadzi has shared on social media just shows what a force she is. Her fans recently almost caused a stampede in Botswana when she was late to the stage, and she shared an emotional video where she made up lyrics on the spot and had the whole crowd go along with it in a heartbeat. How many performers do you know that can do that?

The singer revealed that she had a dream that she would be the next millionaire, and she would use her wealth to kick poverty out of the country, and at this rate, we agree.

We are excited to see what 2022 has in store for the queen, but we already know it will be great. We just feel lucky to be alive to witness the legend that she is. Well in, Makhadzi!
