Makhadzi is in a league of her own! The Limpopo-born star has taken to social media to brag about the 13 platinum plaques she received throughout her career, which has been on an upward trajectory since she began.

Taking to Instagram, Makhadzi showed off her highly deserved 13 platinum plaques as she cosied right in the middle of them. In disbelief at her amazing work, Makhadzi said, "I had to sleep with all my 18 plaques...still cannot believe this."
Makhadzi had to give it to Open Mic for making her dreams a reality. She got handed her achievements - all 18 of them - by radio jock Tbo Touch.
"13 Plaques!" cried Makhadzi. "I am in tears right now. All thanks to my fans for always making sure everything I touch turns to platinum," she thanked her fans.
She listed a few of the songs which hit the major milestone and was met with ecstatic fans who congratulated her for the achievement.
"I am happy to announce that AFRICAN QUEEN album reached Gold, in less than a year," she said.
Makhadzi announced that Kokovha reached double platinum, Zwivhuya featuring Joh Deliger went platinum. Others include Ghanama who she worked on it with Prince Benza and Mjolo featuring Mlindo The Vocalist also went double platinum.
"Open Mic Productions SA you for making my dream to come true," wrote the dancer and muso.
To celebrate this massive achievement, Open Mic threw a party for her at a Johannesburg restaurant called Orthodox VIP Lounge.
The production company even congratulated Makhadzi, “A job well done. We thank each one of you for your amazing effort throughout until last night. We staged an amazing celebration. Congratulations team Open Mic Productions.”
Makhadzi is doing big things also in the business side of things. She recently launched a skin care product called Mavoda and caters for both male and female.
"A wee..! Let me introduce you to MAVODA the product by myself Makhadzi. I have been working on this one for years now. So many sleepless nights perfecting it for everyone. For both Male and Female skins."

Makhadzi was recently involved in a shooting at a venue she was gigging at. According to SowetanLIVE, this happened at Ga-Rankuwa Shisanyama in Tshwane.
They were robbed of their cellphones and were shot at when they tried to run away, “Everyone who was at the parking lot ran away. Upon leaving the venue we (Makhazi, dancer and me) noticed a car following us, we went for the nearest police station. We opened a case at Ga-Rankuwa police station. Police even escorted us out of Ga-Rankuwa," read the statement.
"As the company we are shocked by this incident that someone would want to harm one of the country’s superstars. We are happy that she is safe and the dancers."
