As she discovered, she is followed by US singer and television personality, Tamar Braxton on Instagram after posting about her Namibian performance. Braxton is now one of the 768K followers Makhadzi currently has.
It is no secret Makhadzi is a big fan of Tamar Braxton and clearly the US singer and television personality feels the same. Fans joined in the South African singer’s excitement. One tweep reposted Makhadzi tweet and wrote ‘Queens recognising Queens’
Even more fans joined in on the celebrations on Facebook as the comment section exploded after Makhadzi shared the news on the platform too. This time adding ‘I fainted again I will wake up no the first of October at makhuvha stadium’. One user said ‘You deserve to be celebrated by many’. Another commented ‘I also don’t understand much about your language, but I can still connect with your tone, that’s how special you are, you know how to connect with people, you’re different’. One fan went as far as saying ‘My sister you are bigger than this person, she should pay to follow our Makhadzi’
It’s always good to see South African artists being recognised for their talent and hard work. Fans of Makhadzi clearly have taken the opportunity to express their love, support and sentiments of how proud they are of the Limpopo born singer.

Another South African artist who has been recognised by international talent is Mthandazo Gatya. He recently received Internet fame as a duet he posted on TikTok of him performing John Legend’s new song ‘Nervous’ went viral. It stood out to the extent that John Legend not only recognised the talent with a retweet on Twitter, but also invited Gatya to perform Nervous on stage with him. This was also an unexpected dream come, as Legend is Gatya's idol.

Adding to the joy of the follow, Makhadiza also recently shared how she saw her face on a billboard promoting her upcoming One Woman Show in her homeland Venda on the 1st October.
