ZAlebs recently caught up with the musician as she shares deets on her upcoming album and her relationship with Master KG.

Makhazi
says her album was inspired by the appreciation she has been receiving from her fans.
"They really love my music and my dance moves so that is why I decided to do a dance song which is called Kokoba on the album, and the whole album is inspired by the love I have been receiving," she says

The singer says on the album she worked with Zimbabwean award-winning artist Jay Prayzah, Mzansi's superstars Moonchild Sanelly, Mampintsha and Sho Madjozi.

"I was try to show people that I can do any music, I did a song with Moonchild and Team Mosha, for Moonchild and Mampintsha I wanted to show people that we are all Africans and we must unite especially when It comes to our diverse languages, and that we must be one," she adds.

Makhadzi says Sho Madjozi used to call her, wanting a feature until she decided to do her album and collaborated with her. She says we can expect new sounds from her and the BET award-winning artist.

Makhadzi says she also worked with her ex-boyfriend Master KG ,on the album. The two recently made it public that they have called it quits.

"It's always a good thing to work with him because when me and him collaborate it's all about talent. He has his own talent and I have mine and we understand each other and everything we touch becomes a hit, and he's the only producer whom I feel like we understand each other."
Makhadzi who chose not to speak about what led to their breakup says, it was not her wish for people to know about her love-life.

"The only thing I also want and I wish could happen just that it didn't  happen the way I wanted, I only want people to know Makhazi for her performances and music besides my personal issues but because people already knew about my relationship  there was nothing I can do but my wish is for them to know about my music only."

The Limpopo queen is known for her acclaimed songs such as Matorokisi and Riya Venda and she says her album will have us sweating on the dance floor because it has a lot of dance songs.

"Fans must expect to dance from track number one to the last song because we have been on lockdown and the only thing people want is to dance and good music, so I am giving them the album to dance and have fun."

She says she has already submitted her album for approval and she is waiting for the release date, which she will announce before Friday, but she says the album will released this September.

Makhadzi's stellar live performances are always the talk of the town and she says  she is privileged for being dubbed the best performer in the country.

" It's a big thing because we have so many artists in SA and everyone wants to be big so, it's just that when you do something out of love and enjoying your talent everything just surprises you. I didn't want people to rate me that I am a best performer because I was doing it out of love, being unique and being myself and representing my culture so people decided to give me the big title to push hard and for me it's a big thing because I can see that South Africans are noticing that there is Makhadzi."

Makhadzi's energy is unmatched and she says she doesn't always plan her dance moves sometimes.

"When I go to perform the only thing I want is my dancers to rehearse even though I rehearse with them they know that when I get on stage I will just switch and become something else. Me rehearsing and not rehearsing it's the same thing, because if I feel like jumping I will do it."
The singer is one of the country's most hard working musicians. Mo'ghel is booked and busy hence sometimes exhaustion can be permeated throughout her body and her face. Sharing tips on how she manages to keep healthy and good looking she says.

"A secret to every girl glow is to bath and believing in yourself  and staying natural. I want to stay natural so that people will not see the fake Makhadzi they must know  the real Makhadzi"
The musician says the lockdown has affected her also because she had tours in other countries like Namibia, but when everything opens she will travel.

The singer recently weighed in on the Clicks debacle showing her support by participating on the clicks challenge which entailed rocking natural hair, speaking about showing her solidarity she says.
"When I saw it to me it gave me more power because I was being me everyday. It gave me a power to show people that we must be proud of ourselves, and not to worry about something we won't change because you will stress for the rest of your life and to not listen to negativity. When someone tells you don't look good don't have to stress about that because you cannot change that."
The musician recently rewarded herself after reaching her amazing achievements  with a brand new car. Following the announcement tweeps said she should also consider buying a property, but Makhadzi has made it clear that she is the one who has to decide what she wants to do with her money and said fans should stop comparing artists.

"We can't blame them because they see artists end up not having anything, but it must start with me first because I know what I want, my problems are different fans compare us and they don't know our backgrounds just because an artist's song is big they expect them to drive an expensive car, they must stop comparing us," she said.
