Taking to Twitter this morning, Poet and musician Ntsiki Mzwai said that she represents the thousands that came before her.
I stand representing all the thousands who came before me. The ones whose blood flows through me.
Businesswoman Shauwn Mamkhize shared wore a stunning dress and said that she is a proud Zulu woman and she’ll never forget where she came from.
Stemming from the farmlands of Umbumbulu to sealing deals in the tallest buildings in Africa. No matter where life takes me, I never forget where I come from. Those that know me, know that I wear my heritage as a badge of honour. I am proud to be a ZULU WOMAN!!!
It is this exact pride that I try to instil in my children because I know we are descendants of African Kings and Queens. We come from a people who are strong and that never give up…oGcwabe, oKhabazela, abakaMavovo kaZihlandla, oGubhela,
oMumbo omhlophe,
Despite the drama that ensued following her hit single Ganama with King Monada, Makhadzi has had a great year so far. She recently purchased her first-ever home and invited music legend Oskido to her new home. During his visit, the producer said that musicians should follow in the footsteps of Makhadzi and invest in property.
Before ending the video of the new home, Oskido offered a prayer for Makhadzi.
“Dear Lord I’m blessed to be here. Makhadzi has just moved into a new place. Can you please give her more blessings and open more doors for her. It’s good to see our artists investing and not wasting money on anything. As she’s here in Johannesburg, she left her hometown Venda and to come here and work. Please God protect her travels. She is got music also out. We’ve got a new song it’s called Waetjukutja. Bless her and give her more blessings. This house is blessed, we don’t want any person who comes with a bad heart. Make sure that you protect her all the way. Amen!” He prayed.
"The first time I entered my house I took this picture. My dream came true and I am proud of myself. I built my grandmother a house House with a garden just because my mom and father separated I decided to not choose but to built them two different houses. Now I bought MY OWN HOUSE!" She said.
