Mihlali Ndaamse is a businesswoman and what she has termed a “digital entrepreneur.” This is as in recent months she has slowly made her return to the platform that launched her career, YouTube. Her return to the red app comes off the back of Ndamase recently feeling passionate about the platform after losing interest as the matters of her private life seemed to overshadow her content creation.

Specifically, her initial contentious relationship with businessman Leeroy Sidambe. A relationship which for months was the centre of controversial entertainment commentator Musa Khawula's content. But as the public has moved on, and seeing as Mihlali is still clearly happy in love with Sidambe.
She started returning to YouTube. One of the segments she returned with was highlighting some of the makeup artists who have signed up on her October 2021 released app, Malakyt.
The app was initially designed as a one-stop app for the general public looking to book reputable nail technicians, makeup artists and hairstylists. However, Mihlali had indicated that they were set to expand, and it seems that the plans are coming to fruition.

Mihlali Ndamase's Malakyt expanding into fashion
Taking to Instagram, MIhlali’s Malakyt confirmed that they were expanding their service offerings. This is as initially, creatives that did not fall under the hairstylist and makeup artist category were relegated to the “other” category.
However, with the new year coming, it seems that each of the previously othered service providers will have their own column within the app. As such, Malakyt will also include fashion related creatives that will be able to sign up. Included in the list are:
- Fashion designers
- Stylists
- Tattoo artists
- Photographers and videographers
- Skincare and aesthetic practitioners
These are just a number of the more inclusive creative practitioners that the app is set to have in the coming year being included and visible to find on the app.
However, as the site grows, the cost of joining the site will also increase. This allegedly comes off the back of the site aiming to expand on its offerings on the actual app. This is as currently, signees are able to share their social media handles on app, and images of their work.
However, there has been a demand for the app to be more inclusive. Specifically, in allowing its signees to also be able to share short tutorial videos or makeup videos of their work. As such, it seems that one of the biggest changes will include the app allowing for its creatives to have the ability to share video content via the app as part of their testimonials.
Currently, Malakyt is asking its creatives that have already signed up to update their information on the app as the app now allows for their signees to add tags to their profiles. A move which is helpful for creatives who offer more than just a single service as they can now demarcate more than just a single focus in their businesses.
