The star pays tribute to her late brother, Makhosini

In 2019 Minnie Dlamini lost her younger brother Khosini after he suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and the presenter has been open about how the loss has affected her.

On Saturday, 19 November 2021, it was the 3rd anniversary of Khosini's death, Minnie took to social media to share a heartfelt message to her late brother.

She wrote "My Captain. The day you took your last flight is the day I died too."

Minnie's post was filled with lots of messages of love from several Mzansi celebrities and her fans and followers.

Nandi_madida wrote, "Minnie he has never left you, Khosini is with you. You know how much Khosini would never leave your side, he is absolutely every step of the way in spirit."

Tmakgotla commented, "I have a lump in my throat. May The Holy Spirit console you. None of us are here on earth forever. It's never goodbye. It always see you later."

Tinahhturnerr wrote, "You were never the same after this Minnie and I really hope God is able to cover you under the shadow of his wings. Uzobaright love, eventually. You are doing well and keep going. Don’t give up. You must win. That’s how the story must end."

Paleymathonjee commented, "I lost my brother 2 months ago, and I have lost myself, it's like you lost an alignment, painful 😢😢, pray God give you strength as this journey is too painful."

Minnie did the same in 2020. She said they miss him every day. "We all know you were born to fly Captain K we just didn't know it was in the Kingdom of Heaven. We miss you more than anyone can imagine and everyday I wish it was me instead of you," wrote Minnie.

Khosini died from a brain aneurysm in 2019. In a statement, his family said: "It is with great sadness we confirm our beloved Khosini passed away yesterday afternoon, after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm which placed him on life support for 23 days. 

"He passed peacefully at the hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. In this time of grief, we ask for privacy and the opportunity to celebrate him," read the statement.
