Have you ever stopped to wonder what happens to Miss South Africa after her reign?
After her year-long reign, the beauty queens fade into the backgrounds of our modern ZAlebs and us? Well, we carry on with our lives as well. Many of the Miss SA winners have gone to show that it's possible to have beauty and brains and even succeed after their reign, from graduating with Masters Degree's to building successful business, these ladies have been ready to take over the world ever since they were crowned.
Here's a list of our favourite Miss South Africa title holders and what they've been up to lately:
2010-Bokang Montjane-Married to Kaizer Chiefs Midfielder Simphiwe Tshabalala. The couple has a son together. Bokang has four businesses under her belt ranging from Fund Raising to an events company which she co-owns with her husband.
2011 Melinda Bam - Afer her reign, Melinda married her long time sweetheart Adrian Berge. She's also a business woman, TV presenter, motivational speaker, author and a fashion designer. Melinda is also the National Executive for the pageant.
2012 - Marylyn Ramos - Despite being called the worst Miss South Africa by tabloids, Marylyn managed to prove them wrong. With three successful business and a degree under her name, she undoubtedly deserves to be on this list.
2013 - There was no Miss South Africa crowned in 2013 due to an executive makeover to the pageant.
2014 - Rolene Strauss - With a Miss South Africa and a Miss World title, Rolene is also a medical student. She got married to D'Niel Strauss recently and became a mom in January this year. She's been off the radar since she gave birth but is working on her lifestyle website and book.
2015 - Liesl Laurie - She's now a runway model and MC and has started organizations to help people from her neighborhood in Eldorado Park. She's also a brand ambassador for skin brand Vichy.
2016 - Ntandoyenkosi Kunene - Ntando graduated from Wits University with a Bachelor Degree in Education. Ntando is a qualified teacher and will start teaching soon.
