South African radio broadcaster Mo Flava revealed that he turned down an offer to settle the bill for a group of ladies.
The Metro FM Breakfast host tweeted: “A group of ladies just told the waiter to bring their bill of R3394 to me and I must pay… why would. I pay for drinks ordered by people I don’t even know. What have people become?”

One girl came to Mo Flava and apologized afterward. “Wasn’t enough to change my mind tho. I didn’t pay,” he added.
Flava’s revelation was met with mixed reactions from social media users.
One of his followers said that because he is famous and on the radio, he should have money available to help people.
Last year Daily Sun reported that Mo Flava was set to leave Metro FM which obviously didn’t happen.
“They wanted someone who’ll redeem the station from recent rape drama that has been unfolding in the public recently. They feel their image has been dented. After long discussions they agreed Mo Flava was the perfect man for the job.
He’s been in the radio industry for many years and has never been involve in any scandal, even at the SABC. And the fact that he’s a respected DJ also played a part because they had to get someone who could make listeners forget about the whole rape debacle. Having him there was the obvious choice.
Come end of March, he won’t be with Metro Fm anymore when he starts his new journey with 97.7, which he’s excited about. While this is a new chapter for him, it’s also going to be a challenge because of what happened. But he’s a solid DJ do he has the ability to restore the stations public image.”
Despite what sources revealed at the time, , Primedia’s publicity manager, Keagile Makgoba didn’t confirm the news when she was contacted.
Makgoba stated: “A process is under way to identify a host for the 94.7 afternoon drive show. no decision has been taken and we continue to engage positivity with several candidates. Once an agreement has been reached, we’ll make an announcement.”
DJ Fresh and DJ Euphonik were let go by 94.7 after a woman revealed that the duo raped her at a party some years ago.
Mo Flava never confirmed nor denied the reports that he was set to exit Metro FM for 947. He currently hosts Wake Up on Metro with Khutso Theledi whom he worked with at YFM in his early radio days.
Mo Flava was also a host on SABC 3’s weekday show, Trending SA alongside LootLove and Coconut Kelz.
His appointment came after the show bid farewell to hosts Elma Smit and Refiloe Mpakanyane who were with the Trending SA family for a season.
