Mohale Motaung might have been introduced to the world as the partner and then “husband” of entertainment veteran Somizi Mhlongo. However, the businessman turned influencer and radio personality has turned his “fifteen seconds of fame” into a prospering career. Especially in 2023.

It seems as the legalities of ending his relationship with Somizi, Mohale has moved away from paddling fake romance stories via social media and is focussing on earning money. This is as it seems that this year, Mohale has been conscious of expanding and diversifying his streams of income.

Mohale Secures Another Bag

In the past few months, it was alleged that Mohale Motaung might be facing financial difficulties. A matter he debunked and continues to make light of via his social media.

However, one assertive way he made it clear that he was still financially stable and then was through the announcement of his new venture. As reported at the time:

A few days after Musa Khawula made claims that Mohale Motaung is broke and homeless, Mohale announced a huge business venture. While some think he is down and out and not getting any gigs anymore since he and Somizi are over, Mohale goes on to surprise everyone.

Mohale took to social media to announce that he started a new business venture, Fusion Cocktail Lounge. The lounge is located at 12 Main Road, Melville.

“New Man. New Club. Allow me to introduce to you my newest and latest business venture, welcome to Fusion Cocktail Lounge,” he wrote.

Since the opening of the cocktail lounge, reviews of the club, food, and overall experience seem to suggest that it is a good time when visiting Fusion Cocktail Lounge as he shares experiences with his clientele.

However, the personality recently took to Twitter to celebrate yet another financial gain. This is as Mohale has been the brand ambassador for the leading rooibos brand Laager Rooibos. Taking to his social media he confirmed that as the contract was meant to end at the end of March 2023, the brand has decided to renew his contract.

While this means that Mohale will not have to deal with an eviction notice anytime soon. One person that might not be as happy to see the continued money bags that Mohale is accruing might be his ex Somizi. This is as Mohale has been less than subtle with some of the shade directed at his ex. As reported recently:

Even every small win is a win, after all, following media personality Somizi Mhlongo withdrawing his counter case against his ex-husband, Mohale Moutang. Yesterday, scores of people learned that the Johannesburg High Court has ordered Mhlongo to tender all Mohale Motaung’s costs and legal costs following his withdrawal.

While scores of Motaung’s friends, fans, and supporters on social media welcomed and celebrated the news. Motaung has also taken it upon himself to be spicy and shady toward Somizi Mhlongo.

When one Twitter user asked Motaung who is liable to pay all his costs as well as his legal costs, following the leaked court documents making rounds on social. Motaung did not shy away from taking one for the team and subtly shaded Somizi Mhlongo for filth.
