The week has barely begun and we already have another celebrity baby on the way! After spending the last month counting down the arrival of Denise Zimba's bundle of joy we have learned with great excitement that singer, Msaki, has a bun in the oven.
The news appears to have flown under the radar and was only confirmed this past weekend when journalists at Sunday World broke the news. Soon after that, her manager Boitumelo Mtimkulu confirmed that not only was she preggers, but also wondered how the secret had been discovered.
She spoke to the publication saying, "We have done so many gigs, TV shows and interviews but no one has asked if she was pregnant,"
According to her manager, Msaki is 6 months pregnant and although she stopped short of revealing the baby's gender, she did confirm that she was extremely excited about welcoming her third baby in the coming months.
ICYMI: One person who is NOT pregnant is Ntando Duma!
Boitumelo said, "She is very excited for her baby and she will be taking it easy from now until she gives birth,"
While many people were excited to learn the news, there was a fear that the upcoming baby may affect Msaki's ability to perform gigs in her near future. Boitumelo quelled all fears and added that the songbird will still be able to take to the stage over the next few weeks, saying:
"She will continue with Alt Blk Continua because it's not something which is too strenuous on her and the show in Grahamstown which she curates will not be affected. I think women can do absolutely whatever they put their mind to."
Despite her upcoming commitments, one thing we know about Msaki is that she puts her fans first and it doesn't look like she has any intention of disappointing them. Earlier this year we spoke to the singer about how she manages the expectations of her fanbase and she said to us:
"It's all about appreciating your fans, whether they found me yesterday or have been tracking me for a while. I've got a special bond with the lifelong fans, and a wonderful bond with the new ones too!"
Congratulations to the songbird and we can't wait to meet Baby #3. On a slightly selfish note, we also can't wait to hear the amazing music that her baby is going to inspire!
