Imbewu star Muzi Mthabela has extended a helping hand. The actor has donated school jerseys to the less fortunate kids.
He said he saw kids getting cold and went to social media to ask those who can help to contribute.
In the video, he says: "here are the jerseys, some people contributed...I would like to thank you for allowing me to come to the school and talk to the kids..."
He mentioned people who contributed and said others did not want to be named. He also added that he chose not to show the kids on the video to protect their dignity.
He captioned the video: "A Veeeeeery Beeeg 'Thank You' to all who contributed for the jerseys. Thank you @amanda.dambuza and Ayanda Khumalo and others did not identify themselves. We refrained from showing the kids because it was never about selfish ambition but to help our kids where we SA the need.
Re a leboga. Dankie. Siyabonga."
Another one of our favorite ZAlebs who extended a helping hand this past week is TV and radio presenter Lerato Kganyakgo and Soweto TV star DJ Rhee.
The pair remembered people on the streets during these winter colds and donated blankets.
Taking to Instagram, Lerato shared a video of themselves doing the good work with a caption that read: "Giving warmth to those who need it most - especially now as the temperature keeps dropping ♥️ Thank you @arandatextilemills for always supporting the @flutterlkg blanket drive! @iamdjrhee thank you for being part of this I LOVE YOU always"
Her followers and Other celebrities took to the comments section to react to Lerato's kind gesture.
Mbali Wethu responded: "May the God Lord continue to bless your bank balance enough for you to continue blessing others."
Thabane_Chamane: "May God continue to bless your hands and provide for all your needs as you have for His Sons and daughters. bless you, Guys ️"
Last month, Skeem-Saam star Clement Maosa also saved the day by donating bicycles to school children in celebration of his birthday. He said he reckoned that some kids walk a very long distance to school every day and decided to extend a helping hand.
There still learners who walk kilometers to school daily just to get an education, so as I celebrate my birthday with @erp.redux we donating 50 bicycles today.....and that’s how I started my morning. We shall continue making a difference. I am grateful,” he wrote on Instagram.
