Amapiano sensation Njelic was a guest on Jazziq and Friends podcast where he spoke about his career and whether he wants international fame or not.

Njelic says he does not want international fame, instead he wants people to come here to Mzansi to watch him perform.

He says this because local artists always tour internationally but international artists rarely come here, pointing out an imbalance.

“I don’t need an overseas job, I’m not from there. If they want to see me they must come here. That’s where all these things started because we’re all going there, they are not coming here. And who are we impressing when we go that side, South Africans who went that side to work?” he told JazziQ

“Why do we need other people? When we started Amapiano there was no-one who had a vision that they wanted to go to the world. Business-wise yes, but you can’t say you know the UK, but you don't know God's Window in Mpumalanga. But you want to tell me that America is better than South Africa.”

One artist who does wish for international fame though is Prince Kaybee. The Wajelwa hitmaker said in an interview on the Midday Joy on Kaya FM, that he desires to have international gigs because he has done it all here. He told Unathi that he is a bit worried that his life is currently locally based.

"There's a lot I need to achieve so I wouldn't say 'accomplished'. It feels like I am doing the same thing over and over," he said. "You just struggle to get out of the circle of your local support and love, which you need to grow from."

Prince remained hopeful that bigger things would happen this year, "As far as that is concerned it worries me, but I guess bigger things will happen next year," he said.

Well, big things are happening for him but not music wise. He branched out to the business side of things when he launched his wine Milano. His wine won Gold at the 2022 Michealangelo International Wine & Spirits. Prince Kaybee bought a stake into a vineyard in Tulbagh Western Cape at the Blue Craine Vineyards back in May this year. That's when he created his own wine, named after his son Milani.

"So excited we are finally here, Thank you to all the men and women back at the farm who have made this possible. Today I’m announcing that the Milani Wine is now available on our very own online store. Purchase here: http://bluecrane.co.za" wrote Prince Kaybee.

“My name is Prince Kaybee, Founder of a proudly South African wine called MILANI named after my son. We are only going to produce 7000 bottles a year available by order(Details coming soon). Its an exclusive wine, harvested by hardworking dedicated men and women. Each bottle is signed and packaged by yours truly. We are launching soon. THANK You, ” he said.
