Nomzamo Mbatha is a fully-fledged entertainer, besides being South Africa’s latest acting import set to make international film debut as part of the Eddie Murphy’s sequel, “Coming 2 America.” Despite having “it” happen already, we ca thank the pandemic that we have kept her to ourselves a bit longer.

Moreover, despite having made her mark as an actress and leading lady; sometimes Nomzamo has to remind us that she has more talents tucked safely in bag. This past weekend, Nomzamo showcased the she is a consummate television and live event host.  And not just that, that she can serve flawless looks and style when fulfilling her own hosting duties like some of our faves that will not be mentioned because- who is comparing.

To kick off the weekend Nomzamo was the official host of the "Afropunk" 2020 virtual concert experience. Nomzamo was the co-host on the global stage. During the event there were appearances from our very own Muzi, Solo who is Dineo Moeketsi’s husband, and 2019 breakout star, Elaine.  The line-up had the inclusion of internationally recognized entertainers like Amanda Seales, Common and Tiwa Savage.
For her stint she wore a Gucci statement kaftan. The statement piece was especially selected for Nomzamo to wear by the Gucci team, according to her statement.  The star is clearly making big boss moves behind-the-scenes to secure a bag as big as Gucci. And if we all know Miss Mbatha is that once she secures a bag, it stays with her for years. Look at her currently long-standing brand relationships with PUMA, Neutrogena and Veuve Clicquot.

Fresh off her stint as the co-host of "Afropunk" she then flew into South Africa to take over the reins from Bonang Matheba to host the Miss South Africa 2020 pageant. The choice to have Nomzamo Mbatha take over the reins has proven to be the right one. Taking over any hosting duties from Bonang is difficult enough, especially when there are already preconceived “beefs.” Nomzamo and Bonang have never had any run-ins  with one another so fans were readily waiting for her to prove herself.
The star continued to serve looks too, however this time endorsing proudly South African designs. Nomzamo is still to share the details of her entire look, but the two looks that are currently circulating prove again that Ma’Mbatha is aware and proud of her body. Her style is continually embracing her curves, and despite having moved away from prints as her signature. She still embraces colour.
