Announcing the news on an Instagram video, she said: “ I am very excited, honored, and humbled to be a part of something this big and this impactful and that will truly touch the world’s most marginalized and most vulnerable communities…One thing this pandemic has shown us is that it was not the great equalizer,
“In fact, it lifted the lid of invisibility to show the vast inequities and the gross inequalities that continue to not only plague the African continent but communities around the world,” she said.
She continued to say that COVID-19 is not over until it is over for everyone
“Now as we move forward everyone is celebrating …unfortunately vaccines equity is going to be a global morality test on how we as a global community have treated those who do not have the access to the necessary resources that may be available everywhere else.
“ And that’s why It’s so important that we continue to say that Covid is not over for anyone until it is over for everyone, for how can we say we are moving forward when so many are left behind.”
Nomzamo also urged others to lend a helping hand.
“We can continue to do what we need to do and most importantly for our current mission at hand, we can continue to deliver vaccine doses to these communities that need them most. You have until the 4th of July, you always ask me how can I help? and this is now. Every small river leads to an ocean,” she said.
Meanwhile, another one of Mzansi’s popular celebrities who continues to change people’s lives is businessman, TV, and radio personality Sbusiso Leope popularly known as DJ Sbu.
DJ Sbu recently took to Twitter to share a heartfelt message believed to be from someone whom he has helped before.
The message read: “I remember when I asked you for rent money when we were doing that water project and you said you can’t give me the money but you will give me a skill of making money.”
The message continues to talk about everything that has been achieved with the help of DJ Sbu.
Reacting to the tweet, @tkmorodi responded: “Sbuda, you are sent by the ancestors. They made you a man, so you can walk among us, live and eat amongst us, Ekasi to show ukuthi our rise to the skies is inevitable. Africans MUST live like heaven, not only in the AFTERLIFE but here on earth. I appreciate u, SON OF THE SOIL.ASE.”
