With all that the country is going through, it brings many joy to see our ZAlebs digging deeps into their pockets and lending helping hands to the less fortunate. Those fortunate enough to still be securing bags and go to bed with full stomachs, are taking time off to donate to school children and other impoverished community members.

The Coming 2 America star might be living it up in the States, but she still finds it in her heart to give back to the school children in the rural part of KwaZulu-Natal. In collaboration with Bet Software, they managed to give away 20 desktops to a school in Jozini.

"I contacted Bet Software to assist me in donating desktops to a school in one of the most remote areas of KwaZulu-Natal, eJozini," wrote Nomzamo on Instagram.

"My team @nomzamo_lighthouse drove for 8 hours with Bet Software to deliver and programme the 20 desktop computers to Miss Nkosi and her learners. She’s a passionate educator and her students are so brilliant.

"We cannot turn a blind eye to the lack of resources that exist especially to those who live in remote towns and villages. So happy and so so grateful we get to stand in the gap of the marginalised,"
wrote the star.

This amazing donation was fueled by the fact that she too had no access to computers in her schooling career. The school she attended did not provide for such. It was only when she reached matric where her school received a massive donation of computers and they had to quickly learn how to use them.

"The high school I attended didn’t have computers for the greater part of my schooling years. It’s not until we were in Grade 12 that a company donated computers they were no longer using. For 12months we had a crash course on the basic necessities of computer usage.

"All my essays and projects were handwritten, no matter the amount of pages. This affected my confidence when I got to university and having to adjust to using one for everything!"
she wrote on IG.

Somizi's estranged husband Mohale decided to fill school children's tummies with his food packages. He decided to donate some breakfast packages to school children to Gordon Primary School, "Today was day 2 of our #CleanShaveHappyTummies project. The project is centered around giving back to children in disadvantaged communities and schools.”

They also gave these kids some fresh new hair cuts as well as McDonald's happy meals. "Thank you to all our partners, @futurelifeza @_classic.barbershop and thank you to @mcdonalds_za for helping us put a smile on our kids faces. - ON TO THE NEXT!"
