Speaking to Daily Sun, Senyaka’s long-time friend and music producer Sello “Chicco” Twala revealed that he was the one person who looked out for Senyaka in the industry more than anyone else.

“No one can say I didn’t care about him because I bought him a house in Orlando when his family didn’t care. They only care about him now that he’s dead. I didn’t neglect him I will go to his funeral.” Said the musician.

Twala spoke to ZAlebs the day Senyaka passed on and had nothing but positive memories about his dear friend. He even informed us that before the fame, Senyaka actually worked as a hairstylist in Diepkloof back in the day.

It was revealed that Senyaka suffered chest pains shortly before his death.

According to Daily Sun his manager, Sipho Mbuyisa revealed that the late artist was coughing and vomiting blood before his death, suspecting that TB and meningitis could’ve been the cause of death.

Senyaka's funeral is said to be held in Orlando, Soweto. The funeral dates are yet to be announced.

Also, did you know that Senyaka had one of the first rap songs in the country? Back in the 80's Senyaka had rap single titled African Rap. Although his lyrics were no where close to that of our current local rappers, it's interesting see how his humble beginnings as a musician stemmed from him coming out as a hip hop artist first.
