Starting her week, Shaun took to Instagram to urge South Africans to stay strong and never lose the fighting spirit. Her words of encouragement come after President Cyril Ramaphosa took the country to level on Sunday evening in his State of the Nation Address.

Shauwn said,  "We need to believe that things will get back on track sooner rather than later and that our government will do what’s best to get us all vaccinated. In the meantime let’s all stay safe and keep hope alive!!!"

She added that it is important to remain hopeful because hope will make what the country is currently faced with less difficult to bear.

"If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today," She added.

Shauwn and her son Andile have been topping the trends list on Twitter after their soccer team, Royal AM got snubbed the title of entering the DSTV premiership and losing their promotion to the PSL

Speaking on the loss that ended in court, Shauwn said, “What has happened to me yesterday it’s not new, Who said a male-dominated territory was easy? I am still standing tall and firm on my ground not shaken by it, thanking all those that send a message of support I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart! To my enemies. You don’t kick a man when he is down”

Social media was set ablaze when Shauwn bought Royal AM’s soccer players medals when they did not make it to the top losing over Sekhukhune FC. Her act received a lot of criticism with a number of tweeps saying that the soccer players get bonuses even when they lose. Talk about controversy everywhere. She is also accused of buying her cameo on SABC 1’s Uzalo.

She denounced these rumours and said that money does not get you everything in life. Shauwn said she was approached by the producers of the show to appear on the forthcoming season of the telenovela which debuted on 5 March.

She said, "I am human and I put the effort in everything I do. It is not because there's money. But, you know, people will always want to attach money to everything I do, like everything is based on money."

To put these rumours to bed, Shauwn said she never saw herself as an actress so when the opportunity presented itself, she could not resist because people have been wanting her to return to their screens.

In fact, when they were shooting her scene, Shauwn was given the freedom to improvise and play around with her lines because she struggled to stick to the script.

When Shauwn is not stirring up Twitter streets, you will find her giving back to the community. To commemorate her 20 years in the construction industry, Shauwn decided to build 20 houses for families in need.
