There are various industries that have proven to be quite a mission to break into. Therefore the entertainment industry is one such sector that many have tried to place their foot in but got their energies exhausted after numerous attempts.
Creating resources for entry points comes in a form of SA's hip hop authority and prolific television presenter, Siyabonga Scoop Ngwekazi. A mentorship programme is set to be rolled out some time this year after sealing the admin involved. Only about 12 young males can apply. The programme is simply titled, Mystery Scoop System and it will exclusively cater for anyone that aspires to crack into any wing within the creative space in South Africa. Siyabonga also mentioned that he will be personally executing the mentorship duties, whereby he'll be sharing his expertise as someone that has successfully managed to build a reputable name for himself within the Arts.
Taking to his Instagram, he wrote the following:"STARTING A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM THIS YEAR. WILL CHOOSE A GROUP OF 10 TO 12 KIDS I WILL PERSONALLY MENTOR.LOOKING FOR AGES 14-24, MALES ONLY..MUST BE INVOLVED IN THE CREATIVE FIELDS ... "MYSTERY SCOOP SYSTEM" DERIVED FROM "EGYPT'S MYSTERY SCHOOL SYSTEM" ... DETAILS ON HOW TO APPLY TO FOLLOW.''
Mentorship within the creative industry is becoming quite a thing for some of our favourite local celebrities. Joining in the fray is another inspirational figure within the entertainment industry Kiernan Forbes,better known as AKA in these streets. Earlier this year, the Fela In Versace also launched a music scholarship called, The Megacy Kid.
AKA's scholarship programme is also designed to assist aspiring musicians, in regards to how to go about manoeuvering the entertainment industry as whole, hence artists can dabble in various fields in order to create both passive and active income streams. Being versatile is a sport that AKA has managed to excel at, in his illustrious career thus far. With impressive deals including alcohol beverage, Cruz Vodka, Reebok and Cell C to mention just a few.
