Skeem Saam star Phophi Mudau has opened up about her break from TV. The actress is popularly known for her character Cindy Khuzwayo on the show.

Phophi told Daily Sun that she has embarked on a new journey of becoming a traditional healer. The actress told the publication that she is now ready to open up about her departure.
She said she often got asked why she was no longer appearing on Skeem Saam and because of the "sensitivity" of her journey, she could not get into details.
"Now I finally can, and I am happy because I have more to focus on because of the beautiful gifts they have given me. It has been both a challenging and beautiful journey. Learning to give of yourself, your time, your resources were minuscule in comparison to the lesson in humility."
She told the publication that she has learnt that when you accept your ancestral calling, you let go of yourself completely and allow the spirits to work through you and in you.
She also revealed that she will be making a come back to the screens soon. "After a full year of dedicating myself to the course and fully focusing on my people. I believe it's time to go back to the limelight. I am going to do both healing and acting as I believe those are purposes and gifts, they have bestowed on me. Stay tuned for entertainment and divine healing from the Goddess" she told the publication.
Another ZAleb who recently answered her calling is Socialite and reality TV star Zodwa Wabantu. Zodwa took everyone by surprise a few days ago when she shared pictures on her social media platforms giving fans a sneak peek inside her initiation journey.
Zodwa is seen kneeling in a river holding horns, which symbolises ancestral ties on a picture that she shared on Instagram. Captioning the picture, she wrote: "Nkosazana Yamanzi"
The TV star has also begun giving consultations. She publicly started with singer and TV presenter Nandi Madida earlier this week.
Taking to Nandi's Instagram post, Zodwa said she dreamed of her kneeling to her.
She wrote, "I dreamt of you saying Thokoza kneeling to me & you said you want to talk to me🧘🏽♀️ your husband fetched you saying Ufuna ukuthini ku Zodwa,"
However, fans did not take this lightly. They have since called Zodwa out for this and called her a cloud chaser. They said she was supposed to consult Nandi in private.
