A video of Rea in studio cooking up his new track has made rounds on social media, and fans are not impressed.
Reacting to the song @ht4211 responded, "It’s tough being a producer , you have to keep a straight face when you can hear something is totally rubbish 🚮, just to get your studio fee 🤣"
It is no secret that Rea and Queen B don't get along since Bonang slapped the YouTuber with a lawsuit following his malicious claims made on his YouTube channel.
Rea claimed that Bonang introduced her ex-boyfriend AKA to cocaine. "Scoop told us that AKA is on coke, and Bonang is the one that got him into cocaine. Scoop told us that, bro, after the interview we had him right here at this place," Rea said.
Reacting to the claims Bonang slapped Rea with a R500K lawsuit. She served him with a letter which stated that the allegations were defamatory, hurtful, and were deliberately intended to humiliate her and undermine her reputation.
"The allegations are also, to your knowledge false. Your false utterances are compounded by the fact that at the time of making them on a public platform, you knew full well that these utterances would be widely viewed given my client's high public profile.
"To this end, I am instructed to demand from you, payment of the sum of R500,000 within 10 days. Should this sum not be paid within the time prescribed, I have instructions to issue summons without further notice to you."
A few days ago, Bonang issued an update sharing that she has won the case against the YouTuber. The court ruled that Rea pays Bonang R300 000 plus the legal costs.
“After hearing argument relating to the unlawful conduct of Mr. Gopane the court upheld my claim for damages, and in a precedent-setting judgment, ordered that Mr. Gopane pay damages in the amount of R300,000 plus the legal costs of the action.
Queen B said she is planning to donate the money and help the less fortunate. “It is not my intention to benefit financially from the ruling rather I wish to uplift those less fortunate than me and I will be donating the damages received to my philanthropic endeavour, the Bonang Matheba Foundation, which I established to advance the tertiary education of young women.”
Meanwhile, Rea has made it clear that he will not be paying a cent. “I would much rather burn every single Rand that I will ever make in my entire life than give it to that other queen of yours, literally set it on fire,” he said.
