The traditional healer took to her Instagram account to sing Somizi's praises and we are here for it. Somizi is well known for touching lives and inspiring many people through his powerful words.
Gogo Maweni expressed her gratitude to Somizi who was the host of the Ubungonma Festival which was a major success over the weekend. The festival took place at Constitution Hill in Braamfontein, Johannesburg on October 1.
Gogoo Maweni shared a short clip of her being star-struck after meeting Somizi and penned some words to the media personality.
"The love, respect I have for @somizi is out of this world. Thank you for continuing to inspire me, your words mean a lot to me ❤️ I thank God n my Ancestors for bringing the wise with wisdom to my life…I love you."
TshisaLIVE reports that Gogo Maweni rejected claims she had stolen the idea from traditional healer Romeo Malepe, as reported on City Press,
This follows after Romeo dragged Gogo Maweni on social media.
"There are fake Gucci sneakers out there. There's also a fake sangoma festival out there. Yabathakhani abandiza ngama thorn sticks,” he wrote recently on Facebook.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Gogo Maweni debunked the accusation.
“He does picnics, I'm doing a festival. Those are two different things. I'm not going to close the street down and serve people kota [bunny chow] and invite abongoma [sangomas].
“We are looking at music, arts, crafts. We've got artists. That's something he doesn't do. He needs to relax. He pitched this thing at Constitution Hill three years ago and they declined it. Why doesn't he pursue the matter legally if he has any grounds to stand on?”
Recently, Gogo Maweni issued a warning to women to stay away from rich men who may ruin their lives by taking advantage of them. Social media users were left with mixed reactions to her warning.

“I'm happy to see women happy, dating, in love [and] kumnandi and they want a rich guy. There are men who are told to look for specific girls to steal your shine, to steal certain things from you,” she started off.
As she put it, people come into your life and wreck your life because they steal from you spiritually.
“There are people you date and your life just becomes upside down, but because he gives you money, you don't want to leave that relationship. When you sleep with him you get cramps, you're no longer a good person at work, your friends no longer get along with you, your family is upside down because they are stealing from you spiritually," she continued.
