Unfortunately, this is a man's world. This is not only a song but also exactly how the world is, with patriarchy at it's grip and systemic oppression of women in all professions even in the arts.
Thandiswa wants to bring a change to all of this though. At the beginning of the year she stated:
To all the womxn (especially in the arts), I would like to declare my utmost devotion to you. I need your sisterhood and love like I need the very air I breath!🖤✊🏿💐

And with her recent tweets she seems to be standing behind that statement. In an effort to bring women artists to the fore, Thandiswa has asked that women beatmakers, producers and sound engineers avail themselves to her:
Are u a womxn music producer/beat maker or sound engineer? Show yourself to me. RT FOR OTHER KIDS

It might not seem much to others but this is definitely a great way to begin the transition towards opening up all spaces to women almost as equally as they are available to men. Kudos Thandiswa.
